For Hamish Goodall, it all started with a video. One clip of riders carving through deep powder on machines unlike anything he'd seen before sparked something inside. A dream quickly followed. Then came a passion that would eventually bring an entirely new snow sport to New Zealand.
Growing up on a large farm in the North Island, Hamish spent his childhood on dirt bikes. If there was a hill to climb, he was already halfway up it. Riding wasn't just recreation it was freedom, adventure, and the pursuit of adrenaline.
Years later, when he discovered Snowbikes it felt like the perfect combination of everything he loved. The thrill of motocross. The beauty of the mountains. The freedom to explore terrain that most people only admire from a distance.
There was just one problem.
Nobody was doing it in New Zealand.
Where others saw a challenge, Hamish saw an opportunity.
Determined to bring the sport to Kiwi shores, he immersed himself in the Snowmoto world, learning from the pioneers who had developed the sport in North America. What started as a personal passion soon evolved into a bigger vision to create an unforgettable winter experience that anyone could enjoy, regardless of their skiing or snowboarding ability.
